In a world where we waste everything, from food to consumer electronics, its something that over time I have become more effected by. As an IT Professional, I personally throw away vast amounts of hardware that, to be honest, could serve a good home somewhere. For those that know me well, you’ll know I’m very passionate about IT recycling, and getting equipment into schools (usually third world) is something I like to do to allow everyone access to a computer system, which we in this country, take very much for granted.

Please do what you can, there are some great companys who will come and collect your equipment, refurbish it and pass it on to someone more needy than yourselves. It is also worth remembering that you now cannot just throw away your old kit, think about the planet too!
